About
The Waynesburg Central Elementary School Bands are under the direction of Mr. Jason A. Falvo.
The elementary bands are made up of approximately 110 4th and 5th graders. They meet on a 6-day rotation in homogenous groupings (all flutes in one class, all clarinets in another class, etc.). The 5th grade band also meets every day for almost 40 minutes to work as a large ensemble, while the 4th grade band students get extra time during their recess to practice as a full group. The elementary bands have traveled to Kennywood and Kalahari Resorts and have performed at WCHS football games and Kennywood Park! In 2015, they traveled to an adjudication at Carnegie Mellon University where the bands earned an excellent rating, and the students got to spend the rest of the day celebrating at Kennywood Amusement Park!
